Prayer

Most people are familiar with the Lord's Prayer, but many think that it some sort of magical prayer, to be recited word for word. But Jesus meant for the Lord's Prayer to be an example. He would teach in Matthew 6:7: "When you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words." God is primarily interested in our hearts when we pray than if we have spoken specific words. What a comfort to know that we can talk with God directly, transparently, humbly, and from our hearts!

Hope Bible Church takes time to pray for individual, church, and community needs on during the Worship Service and the mid-week Bible study.  Each service and ministry is bathed with prayer as we declare to God our utter dependency on Him.

We encourage everyone to pray and call upon the name of the Lord to be saved (Romans 10:13).  For those with anxiety in their hearts, God calls us to cast those cares upon Him who is able to answer our prayers according to His will (1 Peter 5:7; 1 John 5:14).  The tremendous promise that God gives to His children who pray is that He will replace those burdens with His indescribable peace (Philippians 4:6-7).  If you desire additional prayer, we would be glad to pray with you and for you. Please send your prayer requests to us through our contact page
